Walk with Polar Bears
Walk with polar bears
Join us on this tour with unrivaled access to the Western Hudson Bay Polar Bear sub population. Canadian and Norwegian expert Polar Bear guides and photographers will lead the tour. The concept "walk with Polar Bears" is something we love to work with to give our groups close encounters and a deeper understanding og wildlife. Not to mention the pictures you will be in position to capture.
Polar Bears close up.
The lodge is situated in the wilderness close to the shorelines of Hudson Bay. We will walk with polar bears on the tundra during daytime. During night its a good chance for northern lights. Other wildlife like gray wolves, arctic foxes and ptarmigans is also possible to see. Everything within a concept of "closeness to nature", which gives our customers the ultimate wildlife encounters.
Arctic wildlife and winter conditions.
The polar bears await the oceans to freeze up in late autumn. As soon it does, they disappear out on the ice to hunt their main pray - seals. To encounter polar bears this is the best time to go. Snow covered landscapes and new born ice in the bay will be guaranteed.
Arctic Canada and Hudson bay.
Hudson Bay is located directly under the auroral oval. This means there is always the possibility of the Northern Lights making an appearance. If the lights come out during your trip we will take the group out to photograph in our favorite spots for no extra charge.
Flights are included from Winnipeg.
The tour includes air travels to Churchill and further from there to a remote location out in the field near Hudson bay. Accommodation, transportation, all meals, guiding and workshop for wildlife photography is also included.
