Polar X Plorer
R/V PolarXplorer is a state-of-the-art polar vessel which was completely refitted in 2022 with new interior and a completely overhauled technical system.
She provides maximum safety and comfort for crew and guests. The lower aft deck with its heavy lifting cranes allows for safe launching of large tenders. Arctic Wildlife Tours bring our own tender boats when we are chartering Polar X Plorer in 2026. This vessel was used during famous film projects on Svalbard like Blue Planet 3 and Mission Impossible. The vessel is perfect for film and photographic projects and even expeditions for wildlife tourism. All necessary facilities will be onboard this ship.

Refurbished cabins and lounge
R/V PolarXplorer is an extremely adequate platform to carry out your Arctic adventure. A experienced crew on-board the Polar X Plorer and experienced guides from Arctic Wildlife Tours will make sure you will have a unforgettable journey.
Recently a new lounge was built onboard, which will be a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the landscapes outside.
Twin cabins with private facilities
The cabins are recently refurbished. There are three ensuite double cabins onboard the Polar X Plorer. With private bathrooms you will have a nice place to rest between the outings we will do during an expedition like this. The double cabins has a upper and lower bunk but are provided with a nice ladder. The cabins are spacious and has facilities like a computer screen for information from the bridge and the operator. Each cabin also have a desk and a chair. Every cabin has a porthole.
Single cabins with private bathrooms
The single cabins, 6 ensuite cabins in total, has private bathroom and a desk you can work. The single cabins are also spacious and all of them holds good standard. The cabins are situated near mid ship and the movement in the ship during bad weather will be at a minimum in this area. Each cabin has storage with a locker and drawers under the bed. Outer clothing can be dried and hung in the mud-room.
Other facilities
Polar X Plorer also have facilities as a small but great gym. The Polar X Plorer has a mud-room for drying and storing outer clothing during the voyage. It also has a big ROV room where the equipment can be stored and which can be used for preparing equipment. In addition to the bigger lounge on the bridge you also can use a smaller lounge with big windows to have a view of the outside.
