Polar Bears and Fireweed
Walking with polar bears in Fireweed
Participants will have the unique opportunity to observe polar bears at eye level as part of an exclusive group limited to six individuals. This experience is exceptionally rare, with only a select few able to access this environment during the blooming season. Guests will be able to study wildlife in their natural habitat and witness authentic behaviours. Ample time will be provided each day for field activities, ensuring participants can fully appreciate this distinctive occasion in a remote location within Canada’s Arctic region.
Remote Canadian Camp.
OUR REMOTE CAMP: Here we will have the ability to also observe wildlife from within the safety of the camp, we will also be taking excursions daily into the field.
Polar Bears at eye level.
Participants will observe polar bears at eye level in a small group, ensuring minimal impact on vegetation. Experienced bear guards accompany the group to maintain safety and respect for wildlife. The approach allows for meaningful engagement with nature without compromising the wellbeing of the bears. At no point are the lives of the polar bears put at risk. Â
Among blooming flowers.
During the summer, many polar bears inhabit this region, where they often hunt beluga whales nearby a phenomenon we aim to observe during our visit. We anticipate opportunities to view and photograph polar bears amid the blooming purple and bright yellow flowers that are characteristic of this season. Additionally, there is potential to encounter other wildlife species in the area, including belugas, arctic terns, arctic foxes, caribou (which are known to swim here), sandpipers, harlequin ducks, eiders, and more
Included:
All meals, guiding, bear guards, wilderness camp, and wildlife photography opportunities are all included.
