Snow Leopards in Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary
We hereby invite you to join our guide Jens Wikström on this Snow Leopard expedition into the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary in the Tibetan mountains. Our final destination will be in the valleys of Kibber Village. On 4 400 meter above sea level we will use this as a base and hike the mountains searching for the Snow Leopard. Local spotters and guides are always on the lookout for these elusive wildcats to maximize the chances of sightings.
While we are on the lookout for Snow Leopards we can also expect to see Himalayan Ibex, Blue Sheep, Tibetan Wolf, Wooly hare, Red Fox and birds like the Golden Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, Choughs, Upland Buzzard to name a few. These 9 days in Kibber will be a great way to experience the local life in Spiti as one stays in traditional homestays with a local family.
You will be accommodated at the hotspot of wildlife in Spiti – Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary has been in news for its Snow Leopard sightings. Our base here for the next one week would be a local home in the village of Kibber.
The Snow Leopard is a shy wildcat living in inhospitable areas. We need the local guides to locate the leopards. Hikings will be necessary to reach the locations for seeing the leopard. You need good health and physics to joins this expedition.

Inclusive: Professional guiding.
All meals during the expedition. Accommodation for 14 nights. Coffee and tea. All transfers, sightseeings and drives. Service of an English speaking local guides/ naturalist & trackers: inclusive of guiding fees, monument and park entry fees payable. All necessary permits and permissions. Assistance on arrival and departure at each destination.
Exclusive: Any airfares. Any expenses of personal nature such as telephone calls, laundry, aerated drinks etc. Personal clothing, sleeping bags, emergency evacuation and medical insurance. Meals are not included in the cost unless specified in the inclusions. Camera fees to be paid extra directly in monuments/ park if applicable. Tips/ gratuities paid to naturalists, drivers, bellboys, waiters and staff members accompanying you on the trek. Cost incurred in obtaining visa, insurance etc. Cost incurred incase of hospitalization, evacuation etc.
Group size 6 persons: We keep the group small to give the best possible guidance.
What you can expect!
This expedition will contain longer transportations and transfers. After arriving Kibber village you will be accommodated there and the spotters and local guides will lead us to find Snow leopards and other wildlife. The village is situated on 4 400 meter above sea level and the temperatures can get low. During the travel you need to adapt to the hight slowly.
Photographic equipment
You will need a wide range of lenses to cover all possibilities for pictures. We recommend lenses ranging from 70-200mm to 5-600mm lenses. Mostly will lenses from 500mm and up will be the most useable ranges. Wide angles will be useable for landscapes.

Full payment must be made no later than 60 days prior to departure. You will receive invoices for the last two payments. Private cancellation insurance should be purchased by all participants.
