Travel Route

Svalbard is situated at about 80 degrees north and we schedule the expedition in accordance with prevailing weather and ice conditions. In May and early June we predict a lot of ice and we have a main plan for the rout like shown in the map.

Day 0 We always recommend to arrive Longyearbyen at least one day in advance.

Day 1 Departure from Longyearbyen throughout Isfjorden.

Day 2-6 Western coast of Spitsbergen, visiting Kongsfjorden, Lilliehööksfjorden, Magdalenefjorden, Prins Karls Forland and other areas where we will have great landscape, glaciers and good chances for wildlife as Polar Bears, Walruses and seals.

Day 7-8 We might head south for Bellsund and Hornsund if the northwestern corner is not accessible. This will be decided during the expedition.

Day 9 Sailing back to Isfjorden and arrive Longyearbyen late in the evening around 23:00.

Day 10 Leaving the ship after breakfast and prepare the travel home.
